Under the pen name “Harry Moore.” Stephen Angus Douglas Cox and Cecil Burleigh likely took turns ghostwriting the stories, keeping the spirit of the Liberty Boys alive for over two decades. The stories revolved around a brave band of American youths known as “The Liberty Boys”. These fictional characters, up to 100 members strong, played their part in the fight for American independence. Led by the unwavering Captain Dick Slater, they faced the dastardly British in every skirmish, defying the odds. The serialized adventures often unfolded between the significant battles of the Revolutionary War, weaving a tapestry of courage, sacrifice, and patriotism.
